Bellingham's Alabama Hill is a residential neighborhood that is well established, with homes built primarily in the 1960's and 1970's. As you drive up Alabama, the primary attraction becomes obvious, as many of the homes have incredible and sweeping views of the city of Bellingham, Bellingham bay and even the San Juan Islands.
Alabama Hill is also popular for people with an active lifestyle. Like the bordering Roosevelt neighborhood, the interurban trail system weaves in and out of the streets of Alabama Hill, providing trail access within literally a block of just about every home. The trail system moves north towards Barkley Village, and to the south, it leads directly into Whatcom Falls. Alabama Hill is also walking distance to Big Rock Garden and Lake Whatcom's biggest park and waterfront access at Bloedel Donovan Park.
